I keep getting an error message every 3rd post or so,

It's a blank white page except for the words "Your request timed out, please resend request

or something like that.

Anybody else getting that ? It's annoying because you lose the post.

Not using Chrome cuz it freezes all the time.

The funny thing is when that message comes up it's not after a long lag. It comes up immediately.

I'm not having speed issues at all.

It's definitely not my computer OR my connection.

It just happened again on a different computer at my work connection, and my work connection is a VPN that runs through Australia.

Something is messed up with the site.

Not sure what the problem is - it hasn't happened to me - but even so, you shouldn't lose your post. Hit the back arrow key to go to the previous screen, and you should be able to recover what you had typed.

I use Chrome as my primary browser; I've seldom had a problem using it.

The back arrow key doesn't recover post...I get back to an empty message box.

That's odd. Which browser are you using?

One thing you can do if the problem for you persists is to highlight and copy your post before clicking on, "Submit." That way, you can paste it back and try again if you get the error message.

Maybe the government where you are located is diverting your messages and trying to decrypt them!

Am I the only one getting this message when trying to access the site? I've been getting this a lot more frequently now, and then it's all good after a minute or so.

I've encountered an error message several times today, and yesterday. Don't recall exactly what the Firefox message was, but it did mention the possibility of too much traffic, and try later.

If it was due to too much traffic then that is some kind of Bot invasion, cuz it sure as hell aint a sudden surge of actual people coming here that would crash the site.

6:18 AM EDST
Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at forum.diamondbacksbullpen.org.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Edit- And again at 2:15PM EDST, OK a minute later.

Just got this error message twice (the same one I got yesterday), but was able to get in the third time. I use Firefox.

It's not a FireFox issue; I use Chrome, and got much the same message.

I'm an admin on another site (more members, way more traffic), and we had issues like this at certain periods of the day, especially later in the evening. Turns out we had switched from a dedicated server to a shared server (as an economy move); and one of the other "tenants" on the server was a business that got particularly busy at about the same time. After several tweaks to our software's settings failed to improve performance, we had to bite the bullet and move to another server. So far, so good.

Not saying that's what's happening here; although it might be a factor.

And again, just now.

Jim? TAP? Any ideas?

Could it be a Dodgers fan site testing a DDOS attack on our pool?
