The Cardinals are 2-0, with the second win featuring Drew Stanton in his first NFL start since 2010 in place of an injured Carson Palmer. Meanwhile, the Seahawks and 49ers both lost yesterday.

Could this be the start of a good season for the Cardinals?

Adrian Peterson was reinstated after one game. I guess is ok to beat the shit out of a four year old as long as there is no video.

In today's media-driven world, you bet. Sad times we live in.

Of course, right now, it's only "alleged" - right? So act too soon, and some shyster somewhere will be more than happy to file a lawsuit on behalf the the "allegedly" damaged player.

He's my favorite football player. I learned long ago not to put these guys on a pedestal, so I'm not crushed or anything, just really disappointed in the guy. Unfortunately for him, this came out right after the Ray Rice story, so the public is hot for blood. As long as this is a pending case, I think it's fine that they let him go to "work". It sounds like the case won't go to trial until 2015, so he's been given a long leash. I really hope he learns from his mistaken belief that you can beat your child to teach them right from wrong.

I have to laugh at the people who are coming out to his defense, which essentially is, "I was whooped as a kid, I deserved it and I came out a better person for it." How do you know?! And those who argue that hitting a woman is wrong, but disciplining your child is a different story.... how so? In both cases the man is stronger and has a responsibility to control himself. I don't see a difference.

There's a fine line between disciplining a child and abusing a child. The first is necessary; the second should never happen, but it does. There is never any excuse to hit a woman, unless necessary in self-defense; and how often does that happen?

Sadly there is no answer. A magical season was ruined when Palmer went down.

Amen. They have been ravaged by injuries and yet still managed to put themselves in position to be the best team in the league going into the playoffs - and then Palmer's injury happened. They weren't a perfect team before that, but they had as good a shot as anyone. Oh well, there's always next year.

I hope they can keep Fitz by re-working his contract. He's our HOF'er and it'd be great to see him finish his career (or closer to it anyway) as a Cardinal. Keim and Arians have a great thing going here. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Got up early to watch this playoff game. Might be going back to bed soon.

A lot of Carolina mistakes and some good fortune has the Cards up 14-13 at the half. Offense managed to convert a couple of those breaks on short field into TD's. kudos to them. Should be a good second half

Floyd & Fitz really helped Lindley out with some big-time plays when this game was on the verge of imploding.

So the last time a team gained less than 100 yards in the playoffs was almost 60 years ago in heavy snow.

Sweet.

For of all sad words of tongue or pen,
The saddest are these: "It might have been!"

A season that started with such potential has come to an end with all potential gone for naught. :(

Super Bowls don't happen with a 4th string QB.

I recognize the financial reality of the cap hit Fitz represents, but Bidwill needs to find a way to keep him around. Fitz is the soul of this franchise.
