Isn't Carmelo all about Carmelo?
I think Carmelo and Lebron would be bad for Hornacek's coaching career.

I have doubts about Carmelo too and would actually prefer if they try to acquire Kevin Love, but I think LeBron James only comes to Phoenix if Carmelo is on board. He reportedly wants to play with his buddy.

Didn't we do this already a few years ago ?
So it's like a game of pickup at the school yard and the best players get to stack the team with their best player buddies.
weird how the NBA is run.

And if the Heat grab their "4th superstar", which is what they're seem to be doing by having the big 3 opting out, be prepare for another lockout which I think would be in 2017.

I'd rather bring in KLove than Melo. Even though Love wants to return to CA, Phoenix might be close enough to family in SoCal for it to work for him. It's difficult for me to picture Melo going from NYC to PHX, though.

Nobody cares about arguably the most fun and exciting team in Phoenix right now?! I've been watching religiously and if they continue to progress with the 'hydra' and get perhaps one more piece... good things in the desert. Len is going to be a monster. It's fun watching him progress...

I don't watch or listen to the games - NBA basketball doesn't work for me, for some reason. So my only "contact," such as it is, is by sports radio (mostly KTAR). I must have bad timing, because when I'm able to tune in, the report is about another loss. Until I read your post, I assumed (yes, I know... ) that last year was, like the Diamondbacks 2011, a fluke, not to be repeated. I see now that the Suns are 21-16, 8.5 games out of first in their division, behind Golden State and the Clippers. That's better than I was expecting. They were so close to a playoff spot last season!
What is the "hydra?"
If anyone responds by citing the Dharma Initiative, polar bears, sharks, and dolphins...

Well, as soon as I posted that we lose 2 games. I still have the magic touch!
The Hydra is Dragić, Bledsoe, and Thomas all on the floor at the same time...

Thank you.
I suppose the explanation as to the choice of such a descriptor is probably too arcane to relate...

Steve Nash announces retirement. I guess this should go in a "ex Suns on the move" thread but oh well Third alltime in assists.
http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/stor ... retirement
Something I did not know, Nash was already in Phx when Dallas won their Championship. So he never won.
Hopefully Doan gets traded to a contender to give him a shot at a Cup.
edit- I was thinking that the Mavericks won in 2006, they lost in the Finals. That was the year I thought Nash had won it. Shows how much I follow basketball

Rumors that Jeff Hornacek will get the Iowa State job if he wants it. I sure hope he gets that job and can get away from the bullshit that is the Suns. He deserves better than what he has now.

I'm a Suns fan first and foremost, but I've also been to nearly as many Warriors games (only 4 BART stops away when I lived there), and that Roaracle crowd made me a fan. All the talk is legit, they're easily the best home crowd in the NBA. If it isn't the Suns winning, at least good fans that haven't won in 40 yrs get to celebrate. And the 4 Arizona Wildcats on the staff/roster getting rings ain't so bad.
And we turn to year 48 still looking for a title… Damn that coin toss.

Too much class for the current incarnation of the Suns. The Suns are pretty much a disaster from the top down.
