Boston hires Dombrowski as president of baseball ops; Cherington out as GM.
Ben may have wildly overpaid the likes of Porcello and Panda, but at least he studied under Theo and respects sabermetrics. I'd rather have him than Stewart. Hey LaRussa, pick up the phone!
(Not happening, of course; LaRussa and Stewart "went to battle together" on the field a generation ago. Sigh...)
