It's not been announced... was played as a chance to get more right handed batters in against Francis (of course, that doesn't explain Easley NOT starting in Chad's place).
Drew was a bit "under the weather" last weekend... so may be just getting a little more rest in.

Keeping an eye on Quentin to make sure he was doing it right, according to Grace.
And Helton should have bunted the runner over, according to the booth...

Not sure what caused Hudson to think he should play 10 steps away from Jackson there. That hole up the middle was huge. |

And Schulte says, after the runner goes to second on the smother by Snyder, "And now, with a base open, they can pitch carefully to Hawpe..."
An inauspicious start to the road trip...
Oh...
GET HANK!!!

He's lefty hitting against a righty with first base open and represents a run that doesn't count, and you are down 2-1 in the count.
You walk him and pitch to Spillbough....not put on some half assed shift and open up the infield.
This loss on Melvin.

Carroll looks so gay when he smiles. Me thinks he enjoys the dugout patdown too much.
Why in the hell was Hudson shaded so far toward 1st? Is there no confidence in Jackson's ability to field a ball? |

Why is pitching to Spillbough better than Hawp? He's a strikeout machine. It's like walking Tracy to get to Drew.
