Fastball, breaking ball, whatever you want, Joe. Who needs announcers that can make out the action on the field?

"The Marlins don't have a GM...they just call up their entire AAA squad every six years, have them win a WS, then sell the team off, and start over again."

If it happens a 3rd time, how many clubs will you see copying that blueprint?

By the way, eff Shawn Green.

From what I've seen on this home stand, this next road trip may decide their fate for this year. They really need a 7-3 or 8-2. Assuming they continue .500 ball at home.

If they could dominate San Fransico and Colorado, and continue the pace they've had versus San Diego and LA...they should do fine.

If the team finishes within 5 games of a playoff spot, the FO has no one to blame but themselves for not making it.

Bottom of the 9th and our last chance to pull this one out with:

C. Tracy 3B 1-3
C. Jackson 1B 0-3
S. Green RF 0-3
S. Drew SS 1-3
C. Snyder C 0-3

facing Borowski.

Let's go Rally Backs!!!

You just ask them to be within 2-3 games on September 1st. August is like moving day in a PGA event. Just be close, then it's all about September.

They have 3 rookies with 10 wins and Dontrelle Willis under Control till 2009, but Thom wants the Marlins to go out and spend big bucks on starting pitching.....yeah...that makes sense....LOL

No sooner had I gotten in my car (less than 5 minutes after shoe's Thom quote above) than the KTAR crew went on about what a great young pitching staff this Marlins team has and how we'll be hearing a lot more about them.

It's amazing the stupidity of so many fans. Shawn Green's ground out RBI has the same value as a K in that sitaution yet people cheer like something good happened.
