Why would you not put your best players on the field every night?

I had the same impression. Hudson held it too long, and, as usual, when he has to rush a throw, it goes into the ground. Hard.

Wow, glad I'm not really watching this one. Only 2 hits so far is why they're losing.

Break out your rally gear for:

D. Easley SS 0-2
C. Snyder C 0-2
L. Hernandez (PH?) 0-2
E. Byrnes CF 0-3
O. Hudson 2B 2-3

in our 8th.

We need to make some noise!!!

There is a reason this team ranks 28th in DER

They are NOT a good defensive team.

Somehow, the concept that, defensively, we suck, is not strong enough. We are a black hole of suckitude...

Tracy throws yet another one away...

Sigh... Sad

Ya I know Batting avg is overated but damn.

Drew is hitting .354 this month

Easley just .185

So lets give Drew the night off while Easley goes 0-3. We were in a hole before the game even started...............

Drew should go into BoMels office and threaten to Transfer.............Smile

Zero runs, people. This team is losing because they've scored zero runs.

wasn't blaming the defense for losing the game...just commenting about the defense on display.

I agree...a team wins very few of the games they fail to score in. It's a statistical fact. I can prove it.

Here's hoping the offense and defense show up tomorrow for Webb's start...

Somehow, a called third strike on Gonzo to end the game seems appropriate... Sad

And the trend of making so-so pitchers look like reincarnations of Denton True Young continues... Evil or Very Mad

Bonds gets #725... Lowry gets only his third career CG, and first since 2004...

The Reds won (so we fall back in the wild card)... and the Dodgers are losing, so we won't gain...

Sigh...

come on, kids, drew needs a day off every now and then. he's hard a sore hand, and has been playing winded over the last few days. give him a chance to sit down and rest up for a few hours. enough of this bomel second guessing...

3 errors + 0 runs = one ugly loss

I just got home to see this? Why, when Lowry has a .341 BAA lefties was Drew benched when he hits .333 against lefties?

Tracy with another costly error...he done. Now with more errors then he did in 2004. How many time has his defense hurt the team?

How many more years of Melvin do we have to suffer through? I'm about to prefer Dusty Baker over this nonsense. What the hell am I saying?

Yeah, I agree. Drew has played far more games this year than he ever has in his career. To some extent, BoMel has to manage Drew's time for the rest of the year to keep him fresh. Plus, he does seem to have that Drew family injury bug...

Just got back from seeing this one in person with BOND, and boy was it ugly. It's one thing to get clowned by Lowry -- hey, I can tip my hat to a 2-hit pitching performance -- but then when we proceeded to clown ourselves by committing three errors, I don't blame BOND for leaving early and beating traffic. Hell, we had more ERRORS than HITS. <Sigh>

Can't blame Livan for this one. He pitched very well. What the hell is it about Pac Bell/SBC/AT&T/Whatever Park that prevents us from winning there? BOND and I will be there again tomorrow to cheer on Webby. Maybe we should bring a live goat and sacrifice it or something to try and lift whatever curse seems to be on us in that ballpark.

It's you and B.O.N.D. When I attended the DBacks games at PacBell Park in 2001, AZ went 6-3. Laughing

Tracy now has 21 errors. The rest of the team has a combined total of 54. Boy o boy.

Cheers to Thom for standing up and saying the VP shit is a bunch of crap.
