on the jan 13th show, the Bpro guys had Peter Woodfork as a guest, talking about the Dbacks name, the RJ trade, the expectations from the youngsters, etc. worth listening. the mp3 file is about 40 minutes long; peter is on from minutes 5 to 15 or so.

Nothing terribly new (for readers of this board) from Peter but a good listen none-the-less. The discussion after that on the cork vs. synthetic rubber 1998 balls is pretty interesting stuff.

Cool link, thanks, levski.

I found it interesting that when he brought up Q that he stated that he would be the everyday RF but when he mentioned Young he said that he would play a lot. Am I reading something into this?

I think itis pretty obvious that when Davanon or Hairston plays, there will be plenty of games where Young takes a seat and Byrnes moves over to center.

Take a look at my projections, and check out the projected playing time I have for Chris Young. I have him playing 20 fewer games and getting 83 fewer plate apperances than Quentin.

I would hope that with all of our outfield options for next year, BoMel will keep all of them fresh. I would love to see Byrnes get about 10-20 less games this year, as he typically tapers of at the end of the season. Hopefully a bit more rest could help curve this pattern. (and the more he rests, the more we see Hariston.

I would love to see E. Byrnes get about 162 less games under a D-back uni. Joshua, I'm looking at you, like a hawk stalking its prey.
