from his article on his recent mock draft

Quote:
15. Doug Davis – Having just made the Clemens pick, I needed a 200 inning guy to hedge that risk. Joe Sheehan did a great job of breaking down why Jeff Suppan might not be as good in Milwaukee, and while I just blue-skied it, my guess is that the D-backs defense will help Davis. Knowing that I like the D-Backs in the West and as a possible 90 win team helped me decide. With mid-pack pitchers, I'll almost always go with winning teams over great individual numbers.

Its nice to know there are a few guys at BPro that like the dbacks' chances.

Nothing to add to this, just wanted to reiterate that someone put D-Backs and 90 wins in the same sentance for next year.

Was his projection of 90 wins before the RJ trade? If so I would think RJ would give us 4-5 extra wins at least.

Let's be careful not to overrate anything Will Carrol, of all people, said.

Well, in the RJ thread, I pegged the Dbacks to win 88 games with him on the team, and the difference between 88 and 90 is largely a matter of luck...

I did also write that I saw the dbacks having a few 90 win teams over the next half a decade. So there. Will Carroll can kiss my big unit.

few 90 win teams? I think we're possibly front runners for the WS the next 5-7 years.
