With a partially team-dependent stat such as ERA and an improved defense behind him, I see Brandon getting even better in 2007.

TAP said it well; I agree with him.

I voted higher maybe 3.15 Very Happy

But his win total will likely hit 20+ if he is able to accomplish the 3.15 ERA with the improved offense and defense.

i voted down. that sinker is just unhittable, and every month it looks heavier.

(plus, i hear we'll be getting rivera to close games from the mfy if we include owings, so not so many blown saves. Laughing )

((continuing the brandon theme, is good sir lyon next?))

I say it'll be lower. Better team D, another year of experience and that 4 IP, 7 ER spanking that the Padres gave him on his final start of the season raised it by .22 for '06.

Voted up. 3.10 is effing awesome, almost nowhere to go but up.

I think BW isn't going to be able to get away with his 2-seamer in on lefties (a la Maddux) as much this year. That pitch isn't dominant like his sinker, and I just think that a couple more times this year the batter will be looking for that pitch and hammer it.

I think BW is gonna come in at 3.25-3.50 ERA. But with more innings.

I voted up as well. He just did so well last year I have a hard time thinking he's going to improve on it.

Tough one, but I voted up as well.

I'd love to vote down, but it's not very realistic that Webb is going to put up better numbers than he did last season.

repeating or lowering your era from 3.1 is tough but the OF defense was so bad last year and I think the defense overall will be improved to the point that it will more likely go down than up.

I could buy the argument that the IF defense will be somewhat worse with Counsell being replaced by drew and that would factor more into webb's stats than your ordinary pitcher perhaps but I still think down is the way to go.

well last year, I had him at 2.9, winning the Cy....and some here say they don't trust my stats...that being said the poll should actually be era+ 130, and I'd vote up.... Laughing

2.75 era 24w's.

You've got one hell of a projection system going on...
