i got that vibe too. it worries me. the fans love byrnes insanity. they might feel young is dull or something.

Oh, the booth and Valley will HATE Young if he takes the Mike Cameron career path.

Wow this Woody Williams is great. I wonder if he'll get the Cy Young Award or something. He must be a great pitcher to shut the Diamondback's potent offense down like he has.

I do wonder. I could see him being called lazy like Griffey and Andruw have been many, many times since they make it look effortless. People (Thom) are going to jump all over the strikeouts, too.

I know not a lot of people like Hudson, but he's so good at 2nd, and his hitting has stayed on par or gotten better, I think he's a keeper.

If Gonzalez had Young's speed this would have been his 2nd single of the night.

So if Enrique makes it through this inning without giving up a run, was this a good outing?

I love it. Jackson's finally won the booth. Tonight was the watershed game.

The good thing with Enrique is that you never have to pull him just because you want to use a pinch hitter in a certain scenario.

Does Green think this is a practice game?

I'm just in too good of a mood tonight, but remember at the beginning of the year when we couldn't wait to see Jackson, Drew, Quentin, Young (and then Upton and C. Gonzalez) up with the big club? I'm giddy for 2007 already. By the time Upton and Gonzo the younger get up here, the first 4 will already be putting major butts in the seats at Chase. Can't wait.

We are only down by 2 but this game seems out of reach.

Can AZ ask for Finley back just to face Hoffman?

With one out in the bottom of the 6th the Gnats just went up on the Dodgers 6-1 on a two run shot by Hillenbrand.

Heard CoJack's HR on the radio while driving home. So he's the only DBack to get a hit tonight and both his single and HR were on the 1st pitch. Did Thom call them "1st pitch hacking," or did he just conveniently forget that rant? Seems he knew when to swing at those 1st pitches since his other PA was a BB.
