Then, it started. What’s your favorite guy to pitch against? How old are you? Did you ever wish you could face Derek Jeter?

“Did last year, in the All-Star Game,” Webb said, grinning. “Struck him out.”

Great article.

He's gonna net quite a Haul from the Reds in a trade someday.

Reds are a team that is likely to have been drooling over webb for some time... shoe is just making the point that the reds are a team that would overpay in a trade for him when webb gets close to FA...

To be honest, Webb would likely love to play for the Reds <since their ballpark is a mere 500 feet or so from Kentucky. I'd really hate to see him go.

I would have to see Webb sent to that hellhole of a team.

I agree that he could, but you think we're going to move him? Obviously his agent will want top $, but maybe he'll be settled, have kids, and want to stay, especially if the org shows a commitment to winning.

Either way, I hope he has a down year so maybe we can extend him at a reduced rate rather than right after winning another Cy Young. Rolling Eyes

I hope BW isn't the first casualty of us being a mid-market team and not being able keep our own.
