He writes in his column that the Giants fan that was beaten by two Dodgers fans into a brain-damaged coma and fractured skull was responsible for his beating because he wore a Giants jersey to the game. This moron -- John Steigerwald -- deserves some well-worded emails. Have at it...

I don't know about you guys, but I beat up 2 or 3 Reds fans over the weekend. Serves them right for wearing their Reds hats to Chase Field.

Wow, what a douchebag. Just what is the 'normal attire' men are supposed to wear to the ballgame? Should we dress like Don Draiper?

I must have missed his other article where he discusses how that girl was totally asking for it.

I wore D'backs gear on many occasions to Dodger Stadium. Never had any kind of trouble whatsoever. It's really unfortunate that this happened.

I've worn my Brewer gear to Wrigley, and while the Cubs fans had some choice insults for me, there was never a time I didn't feel safe. I've worn it to Busch too, and the Cardinals fans gave me recommendations for restaurants and things to do in St. Louis. A classy bunch of fans they are.

The only other times I've been to baseball stadiums other than Chase, it was a last minute plan, so I didn't have any dbacks gear with me (Angels Stadium & Turner Field).

I've had horrible experiences a lot of the time at AT&T park wearing Dbacks gear. Hell, I get sh*t at my own bar where I work. Thug fans. Only takes a couple to ruin a ballgame. Or someone's life. I hope they find these two a-holes and lock 'em up for attempted murder. We're all passionate about the GAME... but I have never wanted to kick the opponent's fan's asses. Russ Ortiz's, yes... but I never did.

When the Giants played at Candlestick, many of the Giants fans in the bleachers were as thuggish as Raiders home fans.

Looks like an arrest was made in the case today. I hope they catch the SOB's and give them what they deserve.
To think someone was beat nearly to death over a baseball game is sickening.

They did a knockoff episode on Steve Bartman a few years ago and based it in NYC. In that episode, someone murdered the Bartman character in a bar.
