Phillies trade Utley and 4$mill to the Dodgers for 2 minor league players
6:16pm: Zolecki reports that Darnell Sweeney is one of the two prospects heading to Philadelphia in the deal (Twitter link). As he notes, MLB.com ranked Sweeney 13th among Dodgers farmhands. The 24-year-old has played mostly center field this season but has experience at both middle infield positions. He’s batting .271/.332/.409 at the Triple-A level this year.
6:05pm: Mark Saxon of ESPN Los Angeles reports that the trade will be completed within the next 24 hours. The Phillies are sending $4MM to the Dodgers to offset the remaining $5.85MM that Utley is owed.

The guy who broke the Greinke to Arizona before any of the national media says that the Dodgers are working on a three-way trade with the Indians (for Carrasco) and hears that third might be the Braves (for Teheran). The Indians are asking for Pederson and Jose De Leon while the Dodgers are pushing for Puig and JDL.

I can see that Carrasco trade happening. If I were the Indians I would take Puig over Pederson.....baggage and all. I don't think he's Milton Bradley v2. Could be wrong though.
I think Dodgers also end up getting Maeda. MLB Trade Rumours has a little thing about it, and it makes sense.
