He missed 2 1/2 months last year with Herniated Disc.

they will probably go get one of the top starters on the Market. We'll have to see how that turns out. But we probably don't have to face Kershaw again this year until the playoffs

Can only hope they give up a kings ransom. But yes I agree they'll get one

Gray, Verlander , or Darvish.

And as IA said, just hope they overpay for it trying to win this year. Can't stop them from being super strong this year, but would love to see them empty the pool a bit.

Only one of those three could be called an ace and luckily Texas is in a crowded AL race and still not ready to sell.

Dodgers acquired Luke Ferrel from KC, for cash considerations.

New CBA further penalizes Dodgers spending

Didnt realize this but if they go over 237 next year not only do they pay 90% penalty on the overage, but their first round pick drops ten slots. ( in their case meaning it drops to second round). This is good for long term balance of the division.

Dodgers go get Darvish and 2 good lefty relievers in the last hour of the deadline. Gross.

Jeff Passan @JeffPassan
now
Source: Dodgers send Calhoun, Alexy and Davis to Rangers for Yu Darvish. Deal done.

Hoping 1988 sticks better this season than 1908 did last. They're definitely stacking the deck.

A lot of people in the Valley and some on this board are Dodger Fans...(dirty gary cough cough) :P

Seriously, as long as there is a love of baseball, thats the most important thing.

Dodgers had some great teams in the 70's that never got over the hump, until the strike season of 1981

Was just looking at the 1974 World Series, which Oakland beat the 102 Win Dodgers 4 games to 1

Incredibly, the A's only used 3 starters and 2 relievers, and the Dodgers only used 6 pitchers themselves.

4 of the 5 games were 1 run games.

I'm seriously jealous of the Dodgers. They're on fire, but maybe the new arms will disrupt the clubhouse somehow. Wishful thinking. Even if they play .500 ball the rest of the way they'd end up around 103 wins. LA vs. Hou WS is the odds-on favorite.

Now added Granderson for a PTBNL.

Brewers take 2 out of 3 in LA. Dodgers lose first series since first week of June (19-0-3 in series during that stretch).
