Figured it would be good to start a new thread for this season's accomplishments by our pitching prospects. There is no Diamondbacks game tonight but plenty of action down on the farm. Trevor Bauer gets the start in Mobile, David Holmberg starts for Visalia and Archie Bradley gets the ball for South Bend. Hopefully they can get their respective teams off to a great start.

Bradley's night is done.
5 innings, 4 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, 7 strike outs.
Looks like he had 6 ground outs to 2 fly outs.

Taylor Siemens relieved Bradley and pitched great. 2 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 3 strikeouts.
Don't know a lot about him other than he is a tall lefty (6'5") and was drafted last year. He put up some good numbers with Missoula last year, 2.23 ERA, 60.2 innings, 49 hits, 28 runs, 15 earned, 25 walks, 65 strikeouts. Could be a lefty out of the pen.

Holmberg's line: 6 innings, 4 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, 5 strikeouts.
I'd call it a good night on the farm for the D-Backs.

Not ours anymore, but I ran into Jarrod Parker tonight. I also pissed off a former dbacks prospect, I accidentally called Chris Carter "Gary Carter" and he raged at me; his overreaction was hilarious.

Yeah we mentioned on here a couple of times last year. One of a few pen arms that did well last year that I hope do well this year and cement themselves as real prospects for us.

Add another name to the list of pitchers to keep an eye on this year. Andrew Chafin started for Visalia today and pitched great. He only got 1 professional inning in last year so this was more or less his pro debut.
5 innings, 2 hits, 1 runs, 2 walks, 9 strikeouts

2 more great outings tonight. Looks like Chafin had a rough 2nd, losing his command a little but worked his way out of it and was untouchable afterwards.

Corbin at Mobile today: 6 innings, 6 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 5 strikeouts.
Collmenter hopefully doesn't have much rope left.

Collmenter hopefully doesn't have much rope left. Last season or not baseball is a results based game and he can't have too many more outings like this considering what is waiting down in Mobile.

Collmenter hopefully doesn't have much rope left. alot of base runners and still didnt give up a run. those are some stressful pitches

From what I got from our M-Braves scorers is 3 of the 6 hits where 2 IF singles and 1 bloop to center where the hitter was eaten up.

Bullpen lets Skaggs down giving up 3 runs in 3 innings but I think the saying "anybody but Skaggs" played into this game and the fact that Mississippi didn't want to get swept in a 5 game series in their own yard. Certainly do have some good young pitching on the horizon.
