2nd Must-Win game in 4 days, let’s see if this team has the goods. Feels like we squeak out a close win tonight, return home and split those 2, and then come up just short in G5 @LA.

Just feels like must win tonight.

As I said in the other thread, they scored 5 runs off Kershaw and Jansen. Thats encouraging.

But this pitching staff, for the most part, is gassed. They need to find a second wind, starting tonight.

How many innings is Descalso good for? :lol: :lol:

I'm kidding, Shoe.

This whole October thing went sideways when Greinke couldn't complete 4 in the wild card
game. I'm still amazed we actually won it. Dbacks have had to use FOUR starters in TWO games.
Now Ray is going after pitching 2.2 innings two days ago. Has he ever done anything like
this before, on top of the fact that he has no known post-season experience as far as I know?
*
And the five runs we got last night were far from encouraging, IMHO. Dodgers probably
could have scored 19 last night if they had wanted to. THey said Kershaw was upset at
giving up four home runs last night? Why should he be? They had a big lead and he was
just trying to get outs.
*
I'm not very optimistic for tonight, and I don't feel at all well today, so I don't know if I
can even do this tonight.

Sorry you are not feeling well DS

Hang in there. Post season is an emotional rollercoaster and everything is magnified ten fold. At some point, at the end point, 9 of the 10 teams and their fans that made it to the post season are disappoinred and crushed. Lets enjoy what we have and if we get the golden prize it will be that much sweeter

It's a shame that the BBCode embedded in this board's software doesn't allow images to be resized. :(

You can type ":small" right next to the link of the image. For example it'll be [ img ]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DLkM4Q-UIAAwRQw.jpg:small[/img]

Definitely playing with house money. I remember a time we wouldn't even get the chance to play these games, would have just been a very successful but 2nd-place season and see you next year.

I have used Tinypic.com to resize pics for years
from the time I started posting pics and the admins wanted us to use smaller sizes
Tinypic is alive and well and I am still using it.

whatever the outcome, it will be good playoff experience
and the Dodgers still haven't won a World Series since 1988
and we won in 2001
so there's that
*
And the Cubs are doing a job so far on Dusty's minions and I expect they will
dump Blue as well and set up a rematch of last year's WS, in which Cleveland
wins this time.

Significant changes in the lineup
1. After accounting for six outs on 2 Ks and 2 DPs, Drury rides the pine tonight
Descalso starts at second, even though Hill is a lefty
2. Iannetta catches tonight. Can he take one out like Mathis did last night?
3. Lamb starts against a lefty.
* * * * *
The direction this game goes will probably be determined early on. Walker
went 3-2 on both Taylor and Seager and they got a single and walk respectively.
If that happens again tonight, Turner and Bellinger can give them a big lead
and we'll be right back to where we were last night. If Ray comes out
throwing strikes and shuts them down in the first, we've got a shot.
* * * * *
And I wonder if Goldy is going to pull his "wooden indian" act again tonight.
Taking one or two strikes with no intention of swinging. 0-4 with a DP thrown
in accounting for five outs.
* * * * *

Thats the main one I use too, Imgur is also good but they have a storage limit for free accounts that tinypic doesn't.

Photobucket is making people pay to link their images on message boards so that option is dead.

Harper tied the game with a 2-run bomb in DC. 3-3 in the 8th.

Followed by a 3-run shot from Zimmerman. Nats were as good as dead until the 8th inning rally. Playoff baseball is so much fun.

I prefer tinypic, they dont need an account. Been using tinyurl for years, too. The original of the below image is twice the size. (Happy Canadian Thanksgiving)
