Happy birthday, BOND.

It is his gdt, but since it is after 12, I'll start one.

Peters vs Walker, 5:10 AZ time 1:10am in the UK.

edit-formatting.

Happy birthday

The Marlins sure did look like the impression I've had of them this year. Their offense is outstanding (best team OPS+ in the NL going into today) but even with the massive pitcher friendly ballpark they play in their pitching staff is a sieve.

First look at Dillon Peters
lefty probably with good breaking stuff
Peralta
strike 1
low 1-1
Peters needs to have a good fast ball to set up the curve
grounds deep in the hole, short left, to Rojas
long throw on a hop, and Bour can't pick it
single

Doubt Peters makes it past 4 if the D Backs just stay patient and don't gift him quick at bats.

Bour
outside 1-0
high and away 2-0
fouls off a 95 2-1
breaker low and in 3-1
foul back 3-2
if they don't score this inning it's because Bour is homer or nothing
foul tip held
1 out
and that last one had HIT ME written all over it and he swung right through it

Ozuna looks like a superstar in the making. There was noise that he was available at the trade deadline, and I was hoping the d backs would make a run at him if he was. Of course we did just fine with JD Martinez, for this year at least.

Marlins still have 2 years of control left over Ozuna. He will be a free agent in 2020. If he plays the next two years anything like he played this year at age 26, he will be have a huge free agent payday coming off age 28 season, heading into age 29.
