It would be fitting for him to make everyone sweat out #300 in classic Rodney Experience fashion.

Hell of a game. Haven't gone back through to read the thread yet. The two obvious narratives are that after a season full of true Ace like pick me up performances by Zack Greinke, the team picked him up tonight.

And of course Chris Iannetta, which was just an awesome thing to witness and we all took great joy in helping to cheer him back out for his curtain call...(which of course Drury did not even have the presence of mind to step out of the box for...)

I am worried about Zack though. The pitches he were throwing just did not look like his normal self. I hope he's not hurt.

A great game. Does any one know what the Marlins were thinking after have the right hander warm up and then brought in a lefthander to face Walker? The announcers after the game thought Mattingly thought Walker was lefthanded. The Dbacks had Fuentes on deck in the prior inning to pinch hit, but for some reason didn't have him announced in the next inning. The announcers after the game said the pitching change was made after Walker was announced. Fuentes was never announced as he pinch hit later in the game.

I can't hear the substitution announcements at the games. They blare the commercials between innings, but mumble or don't bother with the lineup changes.

Any way any idea of the Marlin's thinking?

Yep, I thought that was a little strange to bring in Garcia to pitch to Walker. Donnie was a good player but seems to come up short in thinking many times

but I would complain to MLB if lineup changes were not announced.

blare the commercials, mumble the lineup changes. Just goes along with my long-held
belief that making money is more important than baseball itself. It's the typical Capitalist
obsession (greed), that overrides the art form and the performance thereof. It makes me
sick.

Someday these video MLB games will evolve to the point (and they are getting close) where
you can watch a game on TV and not be able to tell whether it is live or computer generated.
I have always had my randomly generated action baseball games. I'd rather watch on TV than hassle with ticket exorbitant costs, transportation hassles, and sitting around a group
of irritating goof balls because of the seat location.
