I wonder what Nick would do if he was hitting in the Korean leagues or something
don't know what he'd be doing in the Korean League, but I know in the Japanese Leagues he would be spending A LOT MORE time in the batting cage and maybe figure out this hitting thing. These Japanese seem to figure out some things we can't.

The Dbacks won a game against LA after a wild pick on an IBB attempt back in 2014 too.
One of the few bright moments in the Dbacks career of Tony Campana
The very first one in the youtube I posted...
Ah sorry, didn't click on it.
I saw the Prado mention but I wasn't sure what play it was
Oh, Prado was the batter, Campana was the runner. I just figured Prado was more name recognizable.

Colome, 25th appearance, only 6 Walks
BOURN for Z: high ball 1. high edge of the zone and Bourn smacks a single to center
SEGURA: hard grounder left of second, Motter dives, can't get it, single, Bourn to third.
and Colome, with a three run lead, apparently wants to make this interesting.
LAMB: low ball 1. inside 2-0. hits the low edge of the zone and Lamb gets the call. 3-0
Clearly a blown call in our favor. outside ball 4, bases loaded 0 out, for.....
GOLDY: as the winning run! fouls off the edge of the outside corner 0-1. high outside out of the zone fouled off 0-2. fouled back protecting low outside, ground foul left 0-2.
Goldy has to protect with Danley back there. swing and a miss at one way low and outside. 1 out. BA says that was a great job of expanding the zone.
PERALTA: grounds into a fatal 4-6-3 DP.
Wow! bases loaded, 0 out, Goldy fans and Peralta hits into a DP
Rays win 6-3
And another home series kaput.

2 outs have been killing us all year. We can't get the hits and the opposition can't STOP getting them.

I would love to know how Goldy, in his own mind, was approaching that AB.
Was he trying to drive the ball or keep the line moving?
once he struck out, you could see in Colome's face that really fired him up.
Once the Mighty Goldy had struck out, I had a feeling this fantastic 9th inning rally was going to crash and burn.

Typical of an inferior (losing) team.

Lost 2 outta 3 at home to a last place team at the end of their long road trip.
But hey those new choo choo hats are out so the marketing machine that is DBacks baseball just keeps rolling down the tracks.
