Cole throws 106 pitches through just 5 innings. Bad news, is we only scored 1 run off him.

Loser teams like this one are usually so because their leader is a loser. I'm sure Hale is a nice man, but he's just not a winner. No fire. No great tactical or strategic acumen. Not a great developer of talent. Just average, at best. This team has talent individually, but collectively play like losers and make losing plays. They do good things when it doesn't matter and bad things when it does.
There is one solution. TLR needs to manage this team. That's the only chance to make something out of this group. I can see how he wouldn't have wanted to take on a lesser team like last year's, but now they went big with offseason additions, and you'd think this is a team he could win with. Tell Duncan he's coming back too. I just can't take milquetoast Hale anymore. Something has to change. Simply demoting or DL'ing Miller isn't enough.

It amuses me that so many people online seem to be more upset that the Dbacks haven't thrown at the Pirates than how the Pirates are about to finish the sweep
