Beltran, loud shot to Goldy but right at him, Miller covering 1 out
McCann walks for the second walk of the inning, brings Butcher out
Tex launches one to deep right and Drury makes a SENSATIONAL catch into the chain link fence but he may be hurt
Hale and the trainer looking him over and Drury will remain in the game. Looked at his hand and left knee. face didn't feel too good either
Starman Castro grounds to third and the Yankees lead 2-0 after a half inning

Segura
hot shot up the middle, off the mound, Eovaldi tries a kick save, misses, ball hits the bag and deflects away from the infielders and into left field for a wierd A lead off double
Gosselin bounces it right side, out at first, Segura to third.
Goldy bounces to Headley, Segura starts for home, seems to hesitate
Headley looked at him then threw to first to get Goldy, but if Headley throws home he gets Segura.
2-1
Lamb bounces out right side
2-1 NY after 1 inning

Didi opens the second with a slap single to left - two innings, two leadoff runners aboard
Hot shot off Headley's bat nails Didi in the foot, no chance to evade it, Headley gets a single
Eovaldi fouls off the bunt with two strikes, so it's 2 out
scoring on Didi getting hit was 3-unassisted
Ellsbury smash single up the middle, Miller continues to get hit hard
Gardner flies to Owings in center, two left
2-1 Yankees going to last of 2

Beef bounces to Didi 1 out
Drury rolls it to Didi 2 out
5 straight ground ball outs
On the Owings triple last night (replay just shown), if the left fielder is going to play THAT FAR off the line, it's easy to hit a triple into the left field corner
Owings called strike 3
2-1 Bronx Bombers after 2

Headley strikes out swinging for the first out in the top of 4
Eovaldi strike 3 called 2 out. No resemblance to a hitter
Hot shot hit to Ahmed, eats him alive and goes right through him
Ellsbury turns it into a hustle double
Hot shot to Lamb, smothers it so it doesn't go through him, and just gets Gardner at first
2-1 Yankees going to last of 4

Surprised they are only up 2-1 with how everything Miller throws is being hit like a rocket

Yeah, really I'm just waiting for them to blow this thing open. Headley being in the lineup helps the situation.

Beltran - high can of corn to left and Gosselin gets it 1 out
McCann - smash into the right field corner for a double
Tex - big hole left of second, with the shift protecting third
Tex swings and misses 2 out
Castro swing and a miss
HALFWAY
2-1 NY

DIDI: Broken bat flair to second, 1 out
Headley singles into right center, and that's a bad sign when Headcase gets a hit
Eovaldi takes strike one on the most buntable ball ever
Gets a nice bunt down along the first base line, and Headley goes to second
2 out
Ellsbury takes pitch 100 to the left hand corner but foul and not by much
single to left, Headley scores 3-1 NY
and NOW Hale goes to bring in the lefty Chafin.
I don't understand why, with two lefties coming up in Ellsbury and Gardner, he didn't get Chafin to pitch to Ellsbury

Ahmed, called strike 3, 16 in a row retired
Eovaldi mixing his stuff up so well
Bourn, batting for Chafin, fouls left to Gardner 2 out
Segura grounds to third

Jake Barrett starts the 7th
Beltran strikes out swinging looking bad on those two divers 1 out
probably splitters
McCann flies to Gosselin in left 2 out
and Mark Tex strikes out swinging
stretch
3-1 NY
and Barrett showed some good stuff tonight
and now we get to see the vaunted NY pen starting with Dellin Betances
HIcks in RF

Gosselin
tries to bunt, misses 0-1
33 of last 49 hitters retired by Betances via strikeout
redonkulus, Bert? WTF?
Gosselin works a walk - good stuff - first walk by NY pitching tonight
Goldy walks
and GIrardi should have left Eovaldi in there - was only at 85 pitches
and Betances road record not that good
2-0 on Lamb and Rothschild comes out
Lamb strikes out swinging on a knuckle curve 1 out

Beef flies to Ellsbury 2 out, no advance
up to Drury to cash in a walk or two
Drury strikes out swinging on that nasty diver and two walks are left stranded
after 7
3-1 NY

So much for "walks will kill you"
We get two of them to start the inning, yet cant even then get a runner to 3rd, let alone score.
