Nick Ahmed sure glad he can pick it in the field because he hits worse than most of our pitchers

Span
Home team has 3 runs in 3 games. Not going to get it done
hammered into right and Span is 3-3 single
Panik
hot grounder to Goldy and it's a 3-6-3 DP, 2 out
Duffy
walks on the 3-1 pitch
Posey
flies to Weeks in left
half way
3-1 SF
just like last night

one wonders how long his defense can maintain his value with his BA so far below the Mendoza Line.

Corbin swings at one in the dirt to go 0-2
easy bouncer to Panik - 1 out
Segura
lines to Pence in right - 2 out
Lamb
grounds to Tomlinson on the shift
9 pitches no runs
3-1 SF after 5

I'm going tomorrow, so I hope the offense doesn't decide to suck against Cain too

I'll gladly take the defensive tradeoff at both spots from moving Segura to SS and Drury to 2B as an every day part of the lineup

Peavy bought himself another turn through the rotation.

So it's pretty official we suck again.
The irony is Chris Owings is second on the team in WAR and BIS' r DRS metric loves his CF defense.
Even with AJ Pollock, this team is probably sub .500 right now.

Pence
bounces to Lamb 1 out
Pence likes to crouch to get an even swing on the low ones
Belt
foul
shift still on
now it's an overload shift with a 3-2 count and called strike 3- 2 out
Pagan
grounds to short
3-1 SF going to last of 6

Goldy
0-2 groundout, lineout
only 1 walk and 0-10 so far this series
Grounds to Duffy - 1 out, 0-11 now in the series
Weeks
hit well dead center, Span can't get it - double
Herrmann
Derek Law warming for SF
strikes out swinging 2 out
Drury
fly right field line taken by Pence
more high hanging flies and they have all day to run them down
after 6
3-1 SF

Really offensive wise only, Drury has come pretty close to AJ's. So I agree with Shoe this is a bad team even with AJ. But at least it gives Hall Stewart, and Kendrick another excuse.

Tomlinson - corbin at 86 pitches
slow bouncer to the Keystone
Ahmed on it, but Tomlinson beats the throw - single
Peavy
Tomlinson was safe because Ahmed made a high throw pulling Goldy's foot off the bag E-6
strike 3 called on Peavy trying to bunt 1 out
Geez Jake, if you're going to bunt, bunt and if you stand there and take a perfect pitch, you got no bitch.
Corbin's night is over

Owings
single to right
for those of you who think there ought to be a Law
The Giants give you Derek Law, now pitching
Ahmed flies to right 1 out
Tomas
shot single to right sends Owings to third
Segura
0-3 tonight.
grounder to second, tags the runner, Segura safe, Owings scores
3-2
and Bruce will bring in Osich to pitch to Lamb, lefty lefty
Lamb is getting a chance to hit against lefties so he is getting practice

dribbler at the plate, Posey picks it up in fair territory and throws him out

Hunter Strickland on to pitch for the Giants in the 8th
95 heat on the outside, strike 1 called
misses on the outside 1-1
low breaker 2-1
fouls off a 96 2-2 and Strickland got away with a fat one
up the middle, single left of second
