An interesting sub plot to the recent trades is who will reach the majors sooner and who will be better,

Andrew Velazquez

or

Domingo Leyba

First and last names link to bb-ref and FG respectively.

Leyba is bigger and younger. They seem about equal from what I have read defensively. That is both suspect at ss and maybe better suited to 2b. Both seem to have some offensive potential. With my limited knowledge. I am going younger and bigger.

Wait. were we talking women?

I thought it was just younger women, as in
"It's faster horses/younger women/older whiskey/and more money."

But I also went with the bigger, without taking size into consideration.

I voted Leyba. . . although I think it's a coin flip.
Besides, I don't expect either to have a huge impact.

I'd still rather have Bauer, Albers and Shaw.
grrrrrrrrrrrrr

So far Velazquez outplaying Leyba. Leyba has decided walks are not needed. He has a lower OBP than BA. Hasn't walked once.

Leyba having a very bad season so far. Velasquez kind of meh....but has been missing a lot of games. Not sure what the injury is.
