End of year so what you got for your best of lists? Here is mine.

1. Fun. Some Nights. Just great POP. If you dont know ask your kids. Had a blast seeing them at a sold out show in Munich.

2. Old Crow Medicine Show, Carry Me Back. Levi ranks up with the top songs Ive heard on the Wars. Ways of Man sounds like the best Willie Nelson song he didnt write. Aint it Enough is the best Dylan song he never wrote. Great stuff.

3. Elvis Before Noon. Elvis Before Noon. More great POP. Sounds Gin Blossomy and it should Blossoms guitarist Scotty Johnson is in the band. Check out the track Loss of Words.

4. Michael McDermott, Hit Me Back. Title track a great drinking song, Prettiest Girl in the World well written POP, I Know a Place a great acoustic ballad, but The Dreams About Trains is one of the all time classics.

5. Counting Crows, Underwater Sunshine. A project of covers the band liked to do. Great Alt Country in a lot of this one.

Just discovered this band called Witcraft, and they are really really good. If you like an old school 70's kind of hard rock, then check these guys out! :twisted:0

If you like that style you might like Down, The Sword, Clutch, or Mastodon.

mastodon is really good. If you like harder, floyd-ish stuff, check out Ancestors. They're one of my favorite bands:

Would love to see Madison Rising rock the house at Chase Field with this version before a game. 8-)

Doubt we ever see that at Chase.

Awesome rendition

I know most of my music is way outside what anyone with good taste should enjoy but this band is just so amazing. They are out of Savannah, Georgia and have a great sludgy, guitar-driven sound. Lots of great harmonies and Thin Lizzy-type dual fills. Their fourth album comes out in December.

Then again if you really just need the metal, here's some Cattle Decapitation:

RIP Scott Weiland. STP was a great band with him up front, but he just couldn't get over his drug addiction. This isn't a surprise, unfortunately.
