They're filming some scenes in my town, Nogales. They made it look like they were in Tijuana. Here's the link to see some photos.

Tijuana was too dangerous so they went to Nogales to pretend they were in Tijuana? Our Arizona border towns are better than California's. ;)

It could be that it is cheaper to film in Arizona

So they're filming on the US side of Nogales instead of the Mexico side? Nogales is on both sides of the border.

Or are you saying it's less expensive to film in Nogales, Mexico and eat and sleep in Nogales, AZ than it is to film in Tijuana and eat and sleep in San Diego?

I remember when Tijuana used to be a fun place to visit for a day, but I don't think I'd be visiting there now.

They are filming on the US side, I guess it must be cheaper. Plus, we all know that Nogales, Mexico hasn't been a safe city the last couple of years so maybe it's for safety.

I'd guess that they don't want to deal with shooting in Mexico and that it is cheaper to shoot in AZ than CA. The ridiculous thing is that in a movie where a couple of people are combining to make about $60M, the studio cuts all kind of corners to pay a couple hundred people less.

If I were in the movie, I wouldn't be willing to go to Mexico to shoot.
