Very thankful we get quality hockey from the Sharks around here.

Hanzal/White/4th traded to Wild for 1st this year, 2nd next year, and conditional 4th(could go to 2nd) depending on how the wild do in the playoffs. With the expansion draft, picks could be a great asset.

Conditional pick is for 2019 draft.

The Coyotes also aquired, Grayson Downing in the trade.

The Coyotes just acquired Teemu Pulkkinen, from the Wild, for future considerations.

I wonder if that was to be part of the Hanzal deal, but it got held up? He was on waivers.

Good-bye Coyotes and NHL. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out of town.

CGY/ARI have agreed to terms on trade involving G Mike Smith and have scheduled a trade call with league, tho nothing official until then.

#Coyotes receive rights to goalie Chad Johnson, Brandon Hickey and a third-rounder 2018 that becomes a second-rounder 2018 if CGY makes playoffs.

For anybody wonderring, Doan and Vrbata are unrestricted free agents, so there would be no point in protecting them. They are technically on the roster until July 1st, though (before July 1st, they can negotiate only with AZ, after that the other 30 teams).

And, actually, Johnson is also a UFA so they must be 100% sure they are going to resign him. I honestly thought he was a throw in in the Mike Smith trade, and they'd protect Domingue.

The Arizona Coyotes are parting ways with long time captain Shane Doan. The club informed him over the weekend. (con't)

Doan hasn't decided on his playing future yet. There are other teams I believe who have some interest in him. (con't)

Obviously must be a tough pill to swallow for Doan, classy leader, played for one organization his whole career

Shane said on the radio this afternoon that it's ignited the fire inside him and he wants to sign on with a team to prove to the Coyotes that he still had something valuable to offer.

21 seasons all with one franchise for Shane, and we rarely see that. Tony Gwynn played 20 years with the Padres and I think he's the last to have that kind of one franchise tenure in professional sports.
