NEVER!

I will never give up.

Remember Kitty fans Miller was not your first choice.

Tim Floyd was on campus for an interview and made an offer. Imagine how great that would have been!

When Miller goes off to Duke to replace coach K remember this.

You are one hire away from the return of the Ben Lindsey days!

Until that time comes enjoy the Zone D's come tourney time.

Az football never recovered from Smith leaving why cant I dream about the same happening for hoops?

Where would Az hoops be if Floyd had been hired. Scary thought isnt it. ;)

Gary you sound more and more like the wife every day.

When is that first Indiana game scheduled?

I will bet a lunch if it ever happens both Millers will not be coaching against each other!

Arizona had their best seasons under Tomey. In fact, during his tenure, the Wildcats had the best overall conference record. They just weren't sequenced right and always lost the tiebreaker game that haunted em at the end. But Desert Swarm will live forever.

I'm one of them that thought Floyd had the right NCAA/NBA pedigree to recruit well. Miller was a risk. Thank god that worked out ok. But WouldaCouldaShoulda. Olson coulda never come to Tucson and Kush coulda never gone to Tempe. And then where would either of us be? There will always be the potential for a coach to leave, it's the nature of the industry. Better to have a good coach and worry about them leaving than to have a crappy coach nobody else wants. How many job offers you think ToddGraham or BobbyHurley are hearing in the back-channels?

What Miller has done is show every other coach in the game that they could also land in Tucson and annually pull top-10 recruiting classes just like he has. It isn't the coach that's special; it's the 14,000 fans filling that gym every single game for 30+ years.

Grahams back channels are always wide open.

Oh and the Mckale myth 14,000 blue hairs cant be wrong. One of the worst gameday atmospheres in college hoops.

Though I have been to Mckale North and that place can rock. Guess the young people who cant get into Mckale enjoy making the trip to the Big City!

A lunch bet with Mr. X yes!

Stephen I have not been back to Maryvale since the redesign. Looks like I have to make the trip.

In my youth we would thanks to the Summer pass play 18 in the morning. Fish balls out of the lake. Sell them to the mgr of RJ Liquor store. Take the money and eat lunch then back for 18 in the afternoon.

The Bill Farkas swing school and the quality assistant pros he had working put on one of the best youth programs in the valley back in the day.

Even us poor kids could get into the swing school at no cost if we were willing to pick up balls on the range or take care of the carts.

The good old days!

Indeed!
My dad bought me my first (short) set of refurbished clubs from Bill Farkas. He was an invaluable resource for young players.
Such great memories.

What years did you play out there?

Also back to UofA/ASU?

1. Does the board of regents have what it takes to fire both coaches in the same year?

2. Who gets the Ax first Rich Rod or Graham?

3. Will the Cup game be a loser goes match up?

apologies for taking this way off topic, but to answer your question Shadow, it was mid-70s through early-80s.
played there while attending Grand Canyon ("college" at the time)
it was cheap and rarely crowded - and not forgiving to a hack like me

I don't play golf anymore. Like Rogers Hornsby, when I hit a ball I want somebody else to chase it.

Kitties sign a new Five star and looks like they are going to lose another five star to USC or Duke.

Does that make them one step closer to the final four or not?

Also love this trip to Spain. Who does Miller think he is HARBAUGH!
