Ugh, a thousand times ugh. The other DB's need to be healthy and rally for the playoffs. This is a great team and you'd like to think they'll be just as strong next year, but sometimes you only get one shot. The offense is still solid. Palmer is having his best season and they finally have a running game that can dominate.

NFL news with a baseball twist:

Rotoworld - Browns named former Mets vice president of player development and scouting Paul DePodesta chief strategy officer.

That is not a typo. The Browns are bringing in a baseball executive who is perhaps most famous for his time with the Athletics which was chronicled in the book Moneyball. DePodesta also was the Dodgers GM for two seasons in the mid-2000s and had been with the Mets since 2010. DePodesta will work with executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown, who himself is a former lawyer. Cleveland is going all in on analytics in an attempt to turn the franchise around. Still, hiring a football person or two might not be a bad plan.

Was there ever really any doubt that he would?

Palmer is kind of the equivalent of Josh Collmenter or maybe De La Rosa.

I feel like if i hadn't followed Arizona sports for the last 20 years a game like this would be a lot more crushing but it honestly doesn't hurt that bad.

I posted a status on fb saying I thought the Panthers were running up the score. A PATRIOTS friend of mine said I was being a "hater." I never talked shit about her team losing, but sure go ahead and troll my status.

That was about as depressing of a Cardinals game as I have ever seen

Cards game, maybe. I'm a Vikings fan too, so I'm well used to it. This was reminiscent of the 2000 championship game (Giants 41, MN 0). It was over early and it just kept getting worse and worse.

Both lines got outplayed in the two playoff games, so that'll be a point of emphasis during the off-season. They have a few free agents to re-sign (or not) and how that shakes out will affect both lines and the secondary. They could use another LB as well. It'll be a fun off-season watching how Keim fills out the roster, but this team has enough talent to win the best division in football again next year.

Cards just landed Chandler Jones, nice to see one AZ team that limits its questionable FO decisions.
