Graham's fate will be sealed when UofA beats ASU on the 25th. The idea that the ASU head coaching job could be one of the primo positions is laughable.

Manny Wilkens kind of reminds me of Rudy Carpenter. So-so QB, but not going to produce big results over his career. I wonder what kind of bullshit the coaches fed Barnett to get him to transfer to ASU.

Khalil Tate has just become the first player in history to win Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week four consecutive weeks.

Tate is also a semifinalist for the Maxwell award

Arizona is ranked 23 in ap & 25 coaches poll who would have guessed they would be ranked this year a month ago

Remarkable. How was Tate the backup?

A win over USC and UofA is pretty much a lock to win the South and good chance to win the PAC, assuming they can stay reasonably healthy.

Arizona rushed for 534 yards, setting a new school record. The previous mark was 511 yards, set last season against Arizona State.

nice way to end the home season

At least during the Tate era. And the Wilkens era.

So I'll need to find another game to watch at 4:30, but on the bright side the end of the Graham era. :|

The rumor is that Graham was fired before the game and will be replaced by Kevin Sumlin. I think there's a lot of speculation in that and not a lot to base it on, but we will see if that is true or not.

Derek Mason is intriguing. Maybe he could develop a really good relationship with the high school coaches in Arizona to keep the top talent at home. He may also be the cheaper alternative. The PAC 12 experience doesn't hurt.

made this comment on Twitter:

I just hope that fans that often call for a "clean" program, with well behaved student Athletes with good GPA's, are not the ones calling for Graham's firing. ;)

I wanted Graham gone after the team quit on him in last year's Territorial Cup. It was embarrassing and his coaching carousel halted any progress they had. A year later the team never quit on him and the team got better as the season went along. I still wouldn't mind a switch, but it'd be too bad for Graham to get fired after ponying up $500,000 of his own money for the new student center.

I want a top recruiter for a coach and Sumlin is definitely that, but it'd be ironic to hire another drunk after firing Erickson for the same issues. Sumlin was their top target 6 years ago when they hired Graham. Mason would just be another bland hire to ensure more mediocrity going forward. If you're going to make a switch you might as well go after one of the top targets and there are a lot of good ones available.

Darren Rovell @darrenrovell
We have a new leader in the clubhouse in buyouts. Todd Graham had 43 months left on his contract and is owed $11.2 million.

UPDATE: Todd Graham’s buyout is $12.3 million that is his, won’t be offset by any new job, per @ByBerkowitz. Incredibly irresponsible deal.
