So sweet to see LA go out with a dud. Really happy for Astros fans. They have a great team and played a great series.

Congratulations Astros. As I said somewhere on here, they're an easy team to root for. Happy for the core youngins Altuve, Correa, Springer and Bregman. Happy for the reclamation projects like Morton and Peacock. And happy for the "grizzled" vets, Beltran, McCann and Verlander.

Oh, and happy for A.J. Hinch. He managed circles around Dave Roberts. He wasn't afraid to trust his gut and get outs in unconventional ways.

Betcha AJ feels vindicated. ;)

So happy for AJ. I remember a few nights at TEP when AJ was there we had a couple of conversations and he got me thinking not just analytical but to trust what you see as well.

I hope the dbax FO was watching last night. They could have had the next Cubs/Astros if they had the personal fortitude to see a plan through.

Kenken just sees us as an investment. I hope he sells at some point, or at least doesn't include the team in his will.

This parade through downtown Houston is a party. Early estimate was 700k people.

So much orange...

I want to travel back in time to 2010 and show Dbacks fans a picture of him holding the trophy.

The reactions would be amazing.

I already admitted I was wrong about Hinch. What can I say--I bought into the echo chamber.

Well not exactly what you are looking for, but if you want to read about 26 pages of thread check out This thread starting from page 6.

First 5 pages are about Mel getting fired and then speculation on replacement. AJ's name comes up on page 6 and it's off to the races.

I wonder whatever happened to Fat leprechaun.....lol (He uses phrases like logical fallacy...sound familiar ?)

I worked for the team from 2008 through March of 2010. Of course couldn't post on message boards at the time. Was sad to see it end the way it did with AJ, but he learned a lot from this experience in Arizona, and was the better man and the better manager for the trials and failures he endured here, and has come out on top.

Nothing could make me happier. He's a good guy.

In all seriousness, I am getting worried. The last text he sent me/responded was over a week ago and it was his wife was in the hospital. I hope nothing happened.
