It's totally obvious that the owners and management knew that players were juicing and did nothing. However, that is far in the past. Eventually they took a stand and said it ends now. They didn't go back and try to punish people for juicing when ownership did nothing but they said that it cannot continue. ARod (and others decided that the new rules didn't matter to them and they tried to cheat the system. ARod was a special case that took it to a new level. Fuck him and his team of lawyers. I hope he gets a lifetime ban.

If true, this not only makes him the biggest cheater in the history of the game, but a person of vile character. He better be careful throwing teammates and other players under the bus legally.

No wonder Braun quickly surrendered and accepted that 65-game suspension. He could have woken up with a horse's head in his bed.

"Does he want to go into the Hall of Fame as a Yankee, or a Toledo Mud Hen?" Hank Steinbrenner snarled at the time.

Now, he apparently wants to go in as Barry Bonds. Oops.

Perhaps Boston Red Sox starter Ryan Dempster delivered the message everyone else in baseball wanted to send Sunday to Alex Rodriguez.

The message: We don't like what you're about.

Presumably, Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun might have tuned in from his Malibu, Calif., home.

Braun detests Rodriguez but, suddenly, A-Rod is his new best friend.

The circus act surrounding Rodriguez has improbably improved Braun's fortunes, particularly in the eyes of Major League Baseball.

Sure, Braun messed up big time. He is serving a season-ending 65-game suspension for his connection to performance-enhancing drugs.

But at the least, in less than a month he has gone from the game's biggest pariah to Not A-Rod.

There are so many questions for Braun to answer, particularly regarding his treatment of Laurenzi.

If nothing else, Braun admitting guilt should assure that the 2014 Brewers avoid the circus of daily allegations and conspiracy theories engulfing the Yankees, thanks to Rodriguez.

"If you are truly contrite, you don't apologize and ask forgiveness on a press release. Ryan Braun is a friend of mine, he's been helpful to my charity, so I don't say these things just shooting from the hip. Ryan owes a full out public apology complete with reporters and he should answer every question until they are out of questions. What he did was despicable. He lied, cheated, tried to hide behind a technicality, and tried to imply that another human being was a possible anti semite when he was just trying to do his job. He threw the game under the bus. And now he's hiding from the public. Again."

I'm now a huge Ryan fan too!

Does Braun really need to be the nemesis of all mankind? He isn't the 500th player to use PEDs and lie about it.
